“I grew up at a time when education was not given much consideration, but I firmly believed otherwise—that an education would make a difference. I made sure my younger siblings had a chance at an education and today, I am proud that the Jackie & Catherine Ng Study Award is impacting students at Yale-NUS College.”

The Jackie and Catherine Ng Study Award was established at Yale-NUS College with a philanthropic gift from husband and wife Jackie and Catherine Ng. The Ngs are firm supporters of education. Jackie was a 1963 Faculty of Law graduate from the University of Singapore. He passed away in 2013. His legacy lives on at the College through the Jackie & Catherine Ng Study Award, a need-based award offered to students of Yale-NUS College.
