As we look back on our journey thus far, we are extremely grateful for the support of many who have helped us get this far in such a short span of time. Like many leading institutions for higher education, Yale-NUS College relies on private philanthropic support from our benefactors to hire world-class faculty and to enable us to provide an exceptional educational experience for our students. As a new college, each and every gift is instrumental in our development.
Even before we opened our doors and welcomed our first class (now seniors!), the College was already receiving support from individuals, foundations and corporations. Over the past few years, these gifts have ensured that our unique education model remains accessible to your children. Our need-blind admissions process ensures no deserving student is denied a chance to pursue a Yale-NUS education because of financial difficulties. One of our sophomores, Yip Jie Ying, shares that receiving the Alberto Duran Study Award has allowed her to fully realise her dream of pursuing a liberal arts education at Yale-NUS College without the worry of financial constraints.
We want to continue building this strong culture of giving in Yale-NUS in the years to come and encourage every member of our community to be part of this giving tradition. As parents of our students, you are also an integral part of our community. We invite you to partner with us and invest in the future of the College by making a gift to the Yale-NUS College Parents Fund. Your gift will support the College’s highest priorities, including financial aid and other academic and student programmes.
Every gift counts, so join us in building our philanthropic tradition today.
