Our Ambassadors

Meet some of our Faculty & Staff Giving Ambassadors!

    • Andrew Bailey

      Associate Professor, Division of Humanities

“For me, Yale-NUS is more than a job and a paycheck. I believe the work we do here – building community and preparing a diverse range of students for happy and virtuous lives – matters. I see this most clearly when I chat with students who were only able to come here thanks to generous financial aid. We have the chance to change lives, and maybe even the world, for the better.”

    • Chan Kiat Hwa

      Assistant Professor, Division of Science

“Having been the recipient of support when I needed it, I hope to be able to support and help a needy student to fulfil their potential, who may give in future and perpetuate the virtuous cycle of giving.”

    • Anish Fatimah Binte Maideen Pillay

      Executive, Admissions & Financial Aid

“I personally feel that money should not be a barrier to education. If giving helps students overcome this barrier and gain access to education, I am happy to spread the word and be part of a change. After all, giving is not just about making a donation; it’s about making a difference.”

    • Ng Cheng Jin

Coordinator (Transport & Logistics), Office of the President

“We give because we have received. In giving, we have much to be thankful for.”

    • Norvin Ng

Director (Career Services), Centre for International & Professional Experience

“At CIPE, we are constantly looking to create a portfolio of global opportunities that will enhance our students’ academic learning, broaden their perspectives, and hone the skills and character they need to succeed as students today and leaders tomorrow. Many of these programmes will involve co-payment and I am glad to support any initiative that allows students to pursue their various academic and experiential learning pursuits while at Yale-NUS College.”

    • Stanislav Presolski

      Assistant Professor, Division of Science

“I give to Yale-NUS to show our students and the world that working here is not just a job, but a worthy mission to redefine liberal arts education that is well underway.”

    • Laura Severin

Dean of Admissions & Financial Aid

“Working directly with Financial Aid at Yale-NUS, I see first-hand the impact that giving has on students. Numerous students are at Yale-NUS due to the generosity of others and I believe their presence enhances our community. I encourage my friends and colleagues to consider gifts that will enable future kingfishers to join us.”
